We visit colleges and universities across the country to recruit the best and brightest sophomores, rising seniors and recent graduates to join our team and learn what it takes to design, create, market and sell their favorite merchandise from our brands.

Full-Time Training Program
Our 16-week paid training and onboarding program is the perfect post-graduate opportunity to jumpstart a career at AEO. During the program, participants learn classroom knowledge in a variety of areas and work first-hand with assortments, product, inventory channels and the business, with developmental support from mentors. Our program will build a foundational understanding of retail at AEO and support the transition to a full-time role at the company following completion.
Our full-time training program is offered within the following functional areas:
- Apparel Design
- Inventory Planning
- Merchandising
- Technology
Internships
Students within two years of graduation can apply for a 10-week paid summer internship at AEO. During the program, interns work alongside a mentor and team to showcase knowledge and gain skills in corporate retail – all while learning directly from executives across the organization and gaining key company insights.
Core internship programs are offered in the following functional areas:
- Apparel Design
- Inventory Planning
- Merchandising
- Production
- Technology
Internships in other functional areas are available on an as-needed basis. Those who successfully complete the internship program have the potential to return to AEO upon graduation.
