Brand Partnerships
We honor the power of this generation to take a stand on the issues they believe in. AEO inspires today’s youth through a variety of programs and partnerships that make a difference in their lives and in their communities.
It Gets Better Project
AEO celebrates the diversity of one through the inclusion of many. We are proud to partner with It Gets Better Project, an organization that uplifts, empowers and connects LGBTQ+ youth around the world. Since 2017, American Eagle, Aerie and our customers have donated more than $3.9 million to help amplify stories of hope and encouragement across the globe. With our support, the charity has launched 50 States, 50 Grants, 5000 Voices, a program which empowers LGBTQ+ youth through school-based projects in all 50 states.
Feeding America
More than 34 million people face food insecurity in the United States. Through our partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization, AEO is fighting to end hunger. In 2022, American Eagle hosted its third annual holiday campaign and social media spotlights to raise awareness and funds. To date, American Eagle, Aerie and our customers have contributed enough funding to help provide more than 53 million meals for young people and individuals in need.
Headcount
At AEO, we believe in empowering young people to use their voice to be the change they want to see in the world. That is why American Eagle and Aerie once again partnered with HeadCount for the 2022 U.S. midterm elections. HeadCount is a non-partisan organization that uses the power of music to register young people to vote and to promote participation in democracy. In partnership with HeadCount, we built a Voter Action Center where customers could register to vote, sign up for election reminders, and pledge to vote (if under 18). In addition, we hosted a chance for customers to win Free Jeans or Leggings For Life by checking their voter registration and encouraging their friends and family to check theirs! Our efforts resulted in more than 4,500 people registering to vote in the 2022 midterms and more than $350,000 in funds to support HeadCount’s mission.
Special Olympics
For the past four years, Offline by Aerie has supported Special Olympics’ Global Week of Inclusion by raising funds and spotlighting some of the incredible athletes who represent the organization. The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Offline made a few local athletes feel special by inviting them to participate in a fashion photoshoot and by sharing their profiles on the #AerieREAL Life Blog. The brand also produced a limited edition Offline x Special Olympics Better Together T-shirt with 100% of the purchase price donated to the organization. Since 2018, Offline has raised more than $930,000 for Special Olympics.
