Congratulations to Cary McMillan, AEO Inc. Independent Director, for being named to the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship 100! NACD’s annual listing recognizes the most influential directors and leaders in corporate governance who have demonstrated excellence in the boardroom through innovation, courage and integrity.
Cary has served as an AEO Inc. Director since June 2007, bringing vast business experience and financial expertise. He is Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. Cary also is a member of the AEO Foundation Board of Directors, providing leadership and guidance for the company’s philanthropic initiatives since 2018. His extensive career includes serving as Chief Executive Officer of professional services firm True Partners Consulting, LLC and Chief Executive Officer of Sara Lee Branded Apparel, as well as board service roles with Hyatt Corporation, McDonald’s Corporation and Hewitt Associates, Inc.
Cary is the third AEO Inc. Director to receive such recognition, preceded by Noel Spiegel in 2020 and the late Steve Davis in 2022.

Cary and fellow honorees were formally recognized earlier this month at the 2023 NACD Directorship 100 Awards Gala, at Gotham Hall in New York City.
